Rochelle Ryall - Principal Occupational Therapist
Rochelle has 22 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist across a variety of clinical settings, including acute and rehabilitation hospitals, with TAC and Worksafe clients and in the community health sector. She has extensive experience working with clients with physical, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities and has a unique skillset to support clients with dual disabilities and/or multiple conditions. Rochelle established Independent OT Solutions in 2018 and since this time has supported many NDIS clients achieve successful outcomes. Rochelle has a special interest in completing Home and Living support assessments and completing high quality reports. Rochelle is a member of OT Australia and is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. She is a FIM accredited clinician, and regularly takes part in various professional development activities and provides regular supervision to her team. When not working, Rochelle enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering her sons on the side lines at their basketball and footy games.
Theresa Barry - Senior Occupational Therapist
Theresa is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist and a member of OT Australia with over 20 years of experience working across a variety of clinical settings including acute healthcare, inpatient and community rehabilitation. Theresa has experience working with people with physical, neurological, psycho-social and intellectual disabilities. Theresa has more than 10 years experience working with persons with acquired brain injury (ABI). Theresa also has experience in medico-legal assessment, tertiary education, workplace training, ergonomic assessment, and clinical supervision. Theresa has worked in Australia and overseas and is familiar with a variety of funding schemes including NDIS, DHHS, TAC and Worksafe. Theresa takes part in regular professional development activities and has a special interest in care, support and accommodation planning, client-centred goal setting and independent living skills programs. When not working, Theresa enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym and spending time with her children including coaching her daughter’s netball team.
Melanie Weeks - Occupational Therapist
Mel is an experienced OT who loves working collaboratively with people with disabilities to assist them to live purposeful and satisfying lives. Mel has experience working in community mental health services and also in community support services, with adults experiencing a variety of psychosocial, physical and intellectual disabilities. Mel has a special interest in ME/CFS (Myaglic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), Fibromyalgia, and other associated neuro-immune conditions, which are often poorly understood. Mel is a member of OT Australia and an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist. She is passionate about lifelong learning and regularly undertakes professional development and supervision. When she isn't working, Mel enjoys spending time with her family, travel, cooking, and art and craft.
